Camp Montessori

Program Description

Wilmington Montessori School's beautifully equipped camp classrooms are designed to facilitate the development of independence, competence and confidence in campers ranging in age from toddlers through rising eighth-graders. These spacious, air-conditioned rooms are filled with age-appropriate materials, offering children a comfortable place to learn and have fun during unpredictable summer weather. Campers also have the opportunity to visit our Maker Studios to participate in STEAM activities. Expansive playgrounds, sports fields, a renovated gymnasium and acres of natural woodlands provide the perfect environment for a program supporting children’s physical, social and intellectual development. Toddlers enjoy their own gross motor playroom and outdoor classroom. Older campers plant, tend and harvest fruits and vegetables from our on-campus gardens. Campers in kindergarten and older walk along our stream and down our nature trails to swim at nearby Windybush Pool two days per week.
