Delaware Orchestral & Chamber Music Institute Summer
Program Description
A comprehensive camp focused on orchestral and chamber music for advanced/intermediate string, woodwind, brass, and percussion students. Participate in orchestra rehearsals, sectionals, instrumental and conducting masterclasses, chamber music sessions, movement sessions, and special presentations by professional guest artists and ensembles. A placement audition is required for participation. (DYSO members are not required to audition.) Counselor positions (100% tuition remission) are awarded to rising high-school seniors and college freshmen by audition. Fellowships (including a small stipend) are awarded to rising college sophomores and older by audition. All other students are eligible to audition for select Leadership Scholarships.
