This program pays for cancer treatment services for eligible Delaware residents for up to 24 months from the treatment start date. Qualified individuals must not be eligible for Medicaid or the Delaware Medicaid Breast and Cervical Cancer Program. Individuals with Medicare or comprehensive health insurance may qualify for a Financial Hardship Waiver based on factors such as income and insurance out of pocket expense requirements.??DCTP pays for cancer treatment for Delaware residents only. In order to qualify, applicants must be a Delaware resident diagnosed on or after July 1, 2004, be uninsured or deemed eligible for a Financial Hardship Waiver based on household income and insurance out of pocket expense requirements, over 18, have a household income of less than 650% of the Federal Poverty Level, and have a Certificate of Diagnosis from the doctor. Approved residents will receive coverage for cancer treatment services for a period of up to 24 months beginning at the cancer treatment start date. Undocumented Delaware residents are eligible for the program.
