Delaware Emergency Food & Shelter Program
Applications open December 1, 2024 to December 31, 2024
The Delaware Emergency Food & Shelter Program Board announces that applications are being accepted from faith-based organizations, nonprofit and government agencies. The funding is provided to supplement and expand ongoing efforts to provide shelter, food, and supportive services. This is a competitive grant process.
Applicants must have an ongoing crisis assistance program that is operational no less than five business days/week.
Eligible Service Expenditures
- Food Services: congregate meals, bulk food purchases, or home-delivered meals.
- Shelter Services: mass shelters, hotel/motel, or rent/mortgage.
- Utility Services for Clients: gas, water, or electric

Note: Delaware has been awarded Federal funds made available through the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/Federal Emergency Management Agency under the Emergency Food and Shelter National Broad Program. Funds are limited.
