The American Legion offers services to veterans and their families. Services include assistance with job placement, budget counseling, referrals, medical options, military discharge, scholarship information and Veterans Administration (VA) claims. A trained service officer or assistant service officer assists and advises those with claims before the Veterans Administration (VA) from initiation through the appellate process. The American Legion operates the Boys’ State Program and Girls’ State Program and monitors legislative priorities for veterans and their families.
