The Office of Child Care Licensing is responsible for licensing Family Child Care, Large Family Child Care, Early Care and Education and School-Age Centers, Child Placing Agencies, Residential Child Care Facilities and Day Treatment Programs for children and youth.The Criminal History Unit, located in the Office of Child Care Licensing, is responsible for processing and reviewing criminal history information consistent with department policies, procedures and regulations. The Office of Child Care Licensing is committed to working with providers to offer information, resources and technical assistance that will ensure safeguards and enhance quality for children in out-of-home care in Delaware.
