Operating since 1979 and housed in the Lake Forest School District, the Delaware Early Childhood Center provides childcare, screenings, evaluations, service coordination and early intervention including special education, special instruction and related services to children, birth to five years of age including children who are developmentally delayed or disabled. The Delaware Early Childhood Center provide services in the classroom, home and community based settings.The Delaware Early Childhood Center supports children and families prenatal to Kindergarten entry with home visiting support through Parents as Teachers (Kent & Sussex) and New Directions Early Head Start (Kent), as well as supporting the First Start DE, Early Head Start Childcare partnership and providing Stand by Me Coaching services.
