With Delaware Relay dialing 7-1-1 will connect you to a free service which allows effortless communication with people who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, speech disabled or hearing impaired.It is very simple to make a phone call:1) Dial 711 or use the toll free numbers listed.2) Choose an option and dial the number of a person you are calling.3) Communicate while a relay operator relays message to you and the caller.When calling Delaware Relay from in state, callers may simply dial 7-1-1. Out of state callers should dial the 800 number listed. Check www.delawarerelay.com for the list of the toll free numbers.To make a relay call from a voice telephone call 7-1-1 or 1-800-232-5470, provide the telephone number you are trying to reach. Speak as if you are talking directly to the person you are calling.To make a relay call from a text telephone call 7-1-1 or 1-800-232-5460, provide the telephone number you are trying to reach. Once your call is connected, type your part of the conversation.
