Educational Surrogate Parent Program

A Surrogate Parent is a volunteer appointed by the Dept. of Education to advocate for a child with a disability who is in foster care. A Surrogate Parent works with educators and other professionals to help determine appropriate Early Intervention or Special Education services for the child. Surrogate Parents receive training and support from Parent Information Center.
