The New Castle County Paramedics provide advanced life support services as a component of the pre-hospital emergency medical services system. Paramedics respond to requests for assistance for victims of sudden illness or injury through a universal “9-1-1” emergency telephone number.  The New Castle County Paramedics are a component of the Department of Public Safety.
