Family Services, Office of Children Services, Kent County
Circular design elements

The Division of Family Services investigates reports of child abuse, neglect and dependency. If an investigation determines that protective services are needed, the Division provides home-based assistance such as counseling, family preservation services, parent aides, transportation and shelter care. When in-home services are not sufficient to ensure child safety, the Division provides placement in a stable alternative setting. When children cannot be reunited with their families, the Division places children into adoptive families.
