The Community Services Unit of the New Castle County Police offers many programs for the safety of the community at no cost. Examples of the services include: Community Watch, Herion Alert Program (302) 395-8062, Home Security, Youth and the Law, Bicycle Safety, Ident-a-Kid, Officer Friendly, Bullying Program, Personal Safety, Project Lifesaver, Senior Roll Call, etc. The New Castle County Police promotes Community Policing as its main objective. Community Policing empowers citizens to take control of their own neighborhoods, to have influence on police services and access to them, and to solve community problems.
