Responsible for the investigation of all fires outside the cities of Wilmington, New Castle, Newark and Dover. Responsible for the enforcement of the State Fire Prevention Regulations, receiving complaints for violations thereof, conducting life safety and property conservation inspections in all schools, health care facilities, places of assembly and businesses outside the cities of Wilmington, New Castle, Newark and Dover. Responsible for the plan reviews and approvals for all new construction, alterations, and additions for all structures and occupancies; licensing and certification of all fire alarm systems and companies outside the cities of Wilmington, New Castle, Newark and Dover.
