Sussex County Habitat for Humanity ReStore specializes in the resale of overstocked, discontinued, new and used building materials and appliances donated by manufacturers, stores, contractors and individuals. The items are sold to the public at a discounted rate. Sales fund Habitat’s construction operations, helping the organization build affordable housing in partnership with low-income families in the county. The program also helps divert building materials from going into landfills. The ReStore is looking for new or nearly perfect items such as: household appliances 5 years old or less (no refrigerators), shelving, doors, windows, lumber, painting supplies, sinks, toilets, tubs, tools, and carpets.
