Our English as a Second Language (ESL) classes teach foreign-born adults how to read, write, and speak English. In addition, financial literacy, civics/citizenship skills, and workplace skills are integrated into the curriculum. Students are given the BEST Plus assessment to help determine the most appropriate class placement. Through our partnership with Christina School District’s Adult Education Programs, students may be eligible for state-issued Certificates of Attainment (COA) in both ESL and Citizenship. If you plan to take the citizenship test, these classes will be helpful. Our instructors are experienced in teaching adults, and they are sensitive to educational and cultural differences.
This program is available to children no matter where they live or go to school. If you have additional questions or want to learn more, please contact our team. We'd be happy to assist you!
