The RISE Out of School Youth program serves ages 16 to 24 who have encountered barriers to their personal success. This could include individuals from low-income households, those in need of their GED as well as persons who are experiencing homelessness, returning citizens, pregnant or parenting. The RISE program begins with eight weeks of on-site training at The Warehouse and includes soft skills such as career exploration and readiness as well as financial literacy. Participants are required to be on-site at The Warehouse, Monday through Friday, from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Throughout the eight week training, participants are introduced to career exploration, financial literacy, customer service, and much more. Following the completion of the initial eight week soft skills training, participants transition into their GED or career certification program at Delaware Technical Community College for a minimum of four additional week (time commitment varies based on the participant’s chosen certification). What makes our program special is that throughout this entire process, teens and young adults are PAID TO LEARN AND WORK, allowing participants to generate additional income while they train for their next chapter. After successfully completing the RISE Out of School Youth program, participants will possess the skills to gain and maintain employment in a high-growth, in-demand industry. Participants who obtain their industry approved certificate can expect to receive annual salaries between $45,000 and $100,000.
This program is available to children no matter where they live or go to school. If you have additional questions or want to learn more, please contact our team. We'd be happy to assist you!
