Big Brothers Big Sisters offers several mentoring programs for at-risk youth enrolled between the ages 6-14 (at time of application). They include:- Community-Based Mentoring – After-school or weekend mentoring for youth from single-parent families. Once the youth is enrolled, they may be matched until 18 years of age.- Mentoring Children of Promise – After-school or weekend mentoring for children with an incarcerated mother or father- LGBTQ Mentoring for youth who self identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, transgender or questioning.- School-Based Mentoring – volunteer mentors meet with referred students one hour/week in the school. (Not available at all schools.)- Site based programs beyond school walls
