A service/educational organization which promotes and teaches gardening and horticulture as a way of improving people’s lives and their communities.   Programs include:     Technical and material assistance for neighborhood gardens;     Technical and material assistance for community gardens;     Street tree programs;     Roadside planting program;     Public landscaping;     City garden contest;     Urban gardening celebrations;     Youth job training program;     Horticulture therapy program;     Educational programs for children and adults;     Library;     Tours;     Garden hotline service.   Membership and volunteer opportunities. Open to the public.
