Parents as Teachers is a parenting education and family support program offered to high need families of children in Kent and Sussex Counties,(prenatal until the child is five years of age).  PAT is a free voluntary program designed to foster strong, loving relationships between parents and their children, offering personal bi-weekly visits with a certified parent educator.  In addition to home visits and annual screenings, Parents as Teachers offers Stay and Plays and Family Activity Day/Nights.  These Stay and Plays allow parents to learn from and support one another, observe their child with other children, gain information on parenting issues and child development, share concerns, ask questions, and socialize with other parents of young children in their communities on a regular basis.
