Rental housing sites built throughout the state under this program are privately-owned and have rents that are affordable to working, low-income families. This program provides direct federal income tax credit to developers who build, acquire or rehabilitate rental housing to rent to low-income households. The program requires that the units be reserved for affordability and occupancy by low-income households for a specified length of time.
