The Elections Department administers the general election and voting process. The Department registers new voters, updates and maintains voter files, processes absentee voting forms, conducts elections and demonstrates the new voting machines. Delaware residents who are U.S. citizens and will be 18 years of age on or before the next general election are eligible for voter registration. Eligible adults are mentally competent and have no disqualifying felony convictions. The Elections Department is a source of election related information. The Department provides information concerning political parties, election laws, polling places, election dates, times, etc.
