Circular design elements

The mission of the Freedom Center is to empower persons with disabilities to enable them to gain effective control and direction over their own lives, so that they can achieve and maintain an independent lifestyle within the community with dignity.  The Freedom Center believes that quality of life is dependent upon personal empowerment, demonstrable independence, and active community participation.  To that end, the Freedom Center attempts to stimulate and promote a growing sense of empowerment, personal dignity, self-esteem and self-direction in persons with disabilities by linking them up with the programs and services they may need to achieve and maintain their chosen lifestyle.   The Freedom Center provides Free: Individual one-on-one consultations to identify specific needs and to develop a plan of action to meet those needs; Peer Support Meetings to promote peer interaction and mentoring; and Independent Living Skills Training to assist in developing the knowledge needed to navigate the bureaucratic system and advocate for one’s rights.
