Our volunteer program stresses the importance of reading aloud. Volunteers read at child care centers, Head Start programs and kindergarten classrooms, one-on-one to pre-school children. The effort is to have children enjoy reading and develop pre-reading skills. Parent programs focus on integrating reading aloud time into busy family schedules.
