Safe Kids Delaware is dedicated to preventing unintentional injuries, the leading cause of death, for children fourteen and younger. The coalition is an organization of volunteers including many medical professionals, educators, and police agencies interested in childhood injury prevention, childhood safety and bike safety. The group conducts car seat safety checks, provides public education programs, and distributes safety devices such as smoke alarms and bicycle helmets.
